Mónica Mancera Aranda, LEED®Green Associate

Project Architect

“Architecture is not merely national but clearly has local ties in that it is rooted to the earth” - Alvar Aalto

Monica was born and raised in one of the largest cities in the World—Mexico City.  She earned a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.  She also spent a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina to study historic preservation and urbanism at Universidad de Buenos Aires.

Monica has over 6 years of experience in the practice of architecture.  She specializes in retail (new stores and renovations), commercial, and mixed-use projects for national and international clients.  She started her professional career in Mexico City with global firms where she had the opportunity to collaborate with offices around the United States (Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle).

Monica is a certified LEED®Green Associate.  Her experience includes the full range of architectural services: prototypes, planning principles, budgeting, LEED charettes and documentation, site surveys, design development, construction documents, and permitting. Her experience encompasses driving energy modeling analysis on shading devices, massing, radiation, and sustainable strategies.

Her strategic and strong-willed mindset has enabled her to coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, landscaping and other architectural teams. She finds the biggest inspiration in the power of collaboration among her peers, straightforward communication,
and sustainable thinking.
