Helena Sanjuán Villanueva
Helena is originally from Spain and just arrived in Seattle. She began her study of architecture in her hometown of Seville. Halfway through her course, she decided to move to Barcelona where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree.
She has collaborated on a variety of projects including mixed-use buildings, commercial buildings, educational, and primary-care projects. She has experience in drafting tasks, plans for construction, and public competitions. Her favorite project so far has been the rehabilitation of an awesome World Heritage building, the Palau de la Música Catalana, belonging to Catalan modernism.
One of the challenges of each project is to create spaces that inspire and transmit positive feelings in the people who inhabit them.
Among her personal interests, Helena loves reading and learning about psychology, Eastern philosophies, and the search for the meaning of beauty.
Art is another of her passions, where she can develop her sensitivity and creativity freely.
