Alex Rolluda, AIA, NCARB

Alex was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. In 1975, Alex’s family moved back to the Philippines, the family’s homeland. He would later attend the University of Santo Tomas in Manila to study Architecture. In 1981, Alex returned to Seattle and attended the University of Washington, completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1987 and receiving his Masters degree in 1989.
After working in a partnership from 1996 through 2001 at Rolluda+Scott Architects, Alex formed Rolluda Architects in September of 2002. Always community-driven, Alex is actively involved in the business and ethnic communities of Seattle. He has served as Commissioner for the Pike Place Market Historic District and currently serves as Chair for the Design Committee; he is a past Commissioner for the International District Association; currently Vice Chair for the Capitol Campus Design Advisory Committee for the State of Washington; and actively involved in the AIA Seattle, Diversity Committee and Architect in Schools Program.
Alex has a strong interest in programming and pre-design, assisting clients explore the architectural possibilities. He enjoys leading interest groups and facilitating workshops to determine a project’s needs and goals. Alex’s greatest satisfaction, at project completion, is seeing their hopes and dreams fulfilled.
Alex lives in the Seattle area and enjoys time with his wife and two small children.
