Zamzam was born in Nashville, Tennessee. The journey she took in 2003 to Hargeisa, Somalia, which is the place of her roots, is what drew her into architecture design. “I stayed in east Africa for seven long years! It became an obsession for me to combine my culture and art into architecture”.
Zamzam graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2019. She is just starting her career in architecture and is excited to explore. She started working at Rolluda Architects in July 2019, a few weeks after graduation.
Some of Zamzam’s favorite hobbies include cosplay and costume design. She loves reading mythology and writing fantasy stories.
Zamzam worked on RAI’s installation for the 2019 Seattle Design Festival. She is currently working on the Filipino CID Parklet and the Foulee Market.
