Christina Pizaña

Associate

"For me, architecture is not just a job, but a way to use my skills to create positive change in the world.”

With over two decades of experience in the architectural field, Christina has been involved in a wide range of projects, from community-based initiatives to school district developments. With a strong foundation in design, planning, and constructability, she is committed to ensuring that her work is community-driven and client-centered.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with an emphasis in urban design, and brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her projects.

Christina's professional experience includes schematic design, project management, design development, programming, code review, and construction administration. She has provided construction inspections and evaluations for projects ranging from new construction to tenant improvements, and technical design for public and developer-driven projects both locally and regionally. Christina’s projects range from mid-rise multi-family projects to campus and facility planning and management for nonprofits and federal, state, and local jurisdictions regionally.

When Christina isn't working, she's a dedicated volunteer with several changemaking organizations that focus on environmental, accessibility, and racial justice. She strives to promote equity and inclusivity in everything she does, both in her personal and professional life. Christina has served on various boards and committees, including the Seattle Design Review Board, Seattle LGBTQ Advisory Board, NOMA NW, RCCR, ERAC & CEAMP Advisory Committee Seattle Public Schools. Her work with students has earned her the Golden Acorn Award for advocacy with students and families.

Outside of work and volunteering, you can find Christina enjoying the outdoors with her loved ones, whether they're biking, camping, or participating in social justice-oriented community action work. Christina is grateful to be part of a talented and diverse team of coworkers at Rolluda Architects who share her values and is excited and grateful to continue contributing to our many successful projects and processes.
