Ancich Park

city of gig harbor

RAI was part of a multidisciplinary design team for the development of a new waterfront park for the City of Gig Harbor. RAI was responsible for the design of a new storage building for human-powered watercraft and a public restroom.

The building is buried into the hillside of the new waterfront park, which allows public access to the rooftop from the sidewalk with commanding views of the harbor. It also provides close proximity to the shoreline on the lower level where the boat-storage function occurs. Construction was completed in early 2019.
