Grandview Early Learning Center
puyallup tribe of indians

RAI provided architectural and engineering services for the Puyallup Tribe of Indians Grandview Early Learning Center Addition and Fire Sprinkler Retrofit, including design services, contract documents, and bidding and construction support. The three thousand two hundred square foot single-story addition bridges two existing structures, creating a unified architectural expression and a new main entrance. Added facilities include a reception area, an administrative office, and classrooms and toilet rooms for preschool-aged children. The project includes the design and construction of an infant room addition as an added scope.

RAI worked with the client to incorporate tribal artwork and culturally appropriate
architectural motifs into the design. RAI led a team of engineering consultants in designing solutions to the Center’s needs, including high-efficiency lighting, an energy-efficient HVAC system, plumbing facilities for children, and an emergency backup power generator system. The design team coordinated with the contractor and owner to achieve an ambitious construction schedule.
