Garden House
Historic Seattle
Historic Seattle successfully secured the future of Beacon Hill’s landmarked Garden House by acquiring the property and fully restoring its legacy as a vibrant center for public life. Partnering with Rolluda Architects, the organization completed a comprehensive, two-phase preservation initiative that completely revitalized the historic structure and its surrounding grounds. During the initial phase, Rolluda Architects established the foundational scope of work and spearheaded community engagement efforts to align the project with local needs. This momentum carried into the final phase, where the firm executed the complete rehabilitation design, navigated the permitting process, and oversaw construction. Today, through dedicated collaboration with local community partners, the Garden House stands fully reactivated, safe, and open as an enduring, functional space for the neighborhood.
