Rich Murakami led the design for a 1,000+ sf tenant improvement located at University Village in Seattle, followed by a 900 sf tenant located at Bridgeport in Tualatin, OR. The University Village project included a total renovation of the interior space as well as exterior modifications to the storefront. The Bridgeport project transformed the existing tenant space into a space that represented his client’s brand through minor modifications to walls and application of new finishes.

In both cases, he had to comply with the strict design standards imposed on tenants by the mall’s property management group. Rich worked closely with the property management representatives throughout design to ensure compliance with standards from concept through construction. In the end, the design effectively represented the client’s brand while also complying with mall standards.
