The Center for Impact and Innovation
Masins Furniture Showroom

Built in 1907, the 40,000 sf Masins Furniture Building was extensively renovated in 2006 to house the family furniture business. Unfortunately, the 2008 recession forced the family to consolidate and close the Pioneer Square location. In 2012 the building was adapted to create the Center for Impact & Innovation. School related functions, with classes scheduled to start, required a fast track design and construction schedule. The project received an AGC Build Washington Award.
HUB Seattle, Bainbridge Graduate Institute, and Social Venture Partners teamed up to launch the Center for Impact & Innovation in the heart of downtown Seattle. This unique facility houses one of the largest concentrations of social entrepreneurs in the country. They have created a space to educate inspiring leaders, fund their ideas, incubate their social ventures, and lead the revitalization of Pioneer Square as a center of impact and innovation.
HUB Seattle is a co-working and events space. With a focus on supporting entrepreneurs bent on changing the world for good, the HUB is both network and nexus—equal parts office, clubhouse, and cafe combined in a comfortable community for making connections while progressing toward individual goals.
