“I find that my love of nature and the outdoors influences my work. I believe Architecture should harmonize with the site, not dominate it. My goal is to always incorporate the natural beauty of the site into my designs whenever possible. I believe nature is the consummate architect.”
After graduating from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, Rod has been involved in a number of projects giving him extensive work experience. His portfolio includes commercial, multifamily residences and single housing, warehouses, air cargo facilities, and industrial projects. Additionally, he mentions enjoying architecture work that he has done for schools, churches, assisted living facilities, and university housing. Rod is also a LEED-certified architect.
A husband to Allyson, and father to Nathaniel and Nicholas, Rod has a great love for the outdoors. He skis, plays golf, hikes, goes to the ocean every chance possible, and most of all, he enjoys being the grill master on weekends. With all Rod’s accomplishments and experience, he considers Luna–his 6-year-old–cat as his real boss.
