South Community Centers
city of seattle parks & recreation
The purpose of the stabilization projects is to make needed renovations and necessary upgrades to three existing community centers in the City of Seattle. The projects implement Seattle Parks and Recreation’s 2016 Community Center Strategic Plan’s recommendation to focus on “major maintenance, safety, and ADA compliance, as well as emerging facility needs to support additional programming” at community centers.
As part of the project, RAI reviewed all background information to inform the design, including but not limited to the existing architectural and engineering studies, Department of Justice ADA citations, accessibility audit findings, and the design program. RAI is providing professional services for improvements to the existing community centers based on the following scopes of work:
-
