Managed by the U.S. GSA, the project required a sophisticated approach to handle aging infrastructure within a $1.2 million construction budget.

To prepare for construction, Rolluda’s team created meticulous design documents detailing the complete removal and replacement of the building's sloped metal batten roof, its underlying waterproof membrane, and code-compliant personal fall arrest systems. Recognizing the risks inherent to older structures, the firm mandated a comprehensive asbestos survey of the affected area prior to any physical work. When asbestos-containing materials (ACM) were identified, Rolluda seamlessly integrated specialized design services for safe ACM abatement and disposal directly into the final project plans.
