Obliteride 9/13/25

Rolluda Architects is proud to support Fred Hutch’s Obliteride for a third year. Obliteride is a powerful movement that unites people in the fight against cancer through innovation, collaboration, and community. This annual event is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a meaningful opportunity to honor the lives touched by cancer and contribute to life-saving research.

In the United States alone, nearly 2 million people are diagnosed with cancer each year. Behind those statistics are real stories, friends, family members, and colleagues, whose lives have been forever changed. That’s why Team RAI participates in Obliteride by biking, walking, running, golfing, and even lawn bowling. Each activity is a way to raise awareness, promote wellness, and support the groundbreaking work being done at Fred Hutch.

There are many ways to get involved. You can donate any amount, every dollar helps fuel progress. You can also join Team RAI for just $10 and set your own fundraising goal. Raise $250, you’ll receive an official Obliteride T-shirt as a thank you for your support. Whether you choose to give, join, or simply share this message, your action helps move us closer to a future without cancer. â€‹

Filipino Community of Seattle Youth Summer Program - Office Tour 7/15/25

Rolluda Architects welcomed 20 students from the Filipino Community of Seattle, Youth Summer Program, to our office for a special visit filled with learning, inspiration, and connection. As part of their vibrant Summer Youth Program, designed to explore themes like nature, technology, art, justice, and culture, these 6th to 12th grade students joined us for a behind the scenes look at what we do. Prior to lunch in the park, Alex Rolluda led them on a tour of the office, sharing insights into the many roles that bring our projects to life, including Architecture, Marketing, HR, Bookkeeping, IT, and Administration. The visit was more than just a tour, it was a celebration of creativity and identity. Some students brought their own sketches and design ideas to share with Alex, sparking conversations about how imagination and culture shape the spaces we call home. It was a powerful reminder that the next generation of designers, thinkers, and leaders is already dreaming big.

ANCHOR - A New Chapter: Home, Origins, Resilience Speaker Panel 5/8/25

May is AANHPI Heritage Month. It is a time to honor the vibrant cultures, resilient histories, and diverse contributions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. Every tradition, personal story, and collective achievement weaves together to form a rich tapestry that shapes our nation’s identity.

The National Organization of Minority Architecture Students at UW invited our very own Alex Rolluda to tell his story as part of the ANCHOR - A New Chapter: Home, Origins, Resilience Speaker Panel. He was featured alongside Tanya Kataria, Sergio Max Legon-Talamoni, and MC Van Le. The conversation included their experiences with migration, challenges they’ve faced in their journey, their definition of “home,” their opinion on the Asian diasporic communities in the built environments, strategies for addressing unconscious bias, and the impact of architecture on AANHPI communities. Thanks to @nomasuw for including us in their celebration of AANHPI month and creating a space for folks to share their stories.

At RAl, we cherish the opportunity to collaborate with our AANHPI colleagues, whose passion and expertise enrich both our work and our community. Their contributions remind us that true innovation blossoms when diverse perspectives come together. We honor their legacy this month, and every month, and look forward to a future filled with shared success and continuous growth.
